Learn Sarga Bodywork's signature barefoot myofascial massage techniques in the “Island of the Gods”. Bali is a special place for us and we look forward to sharing our work with you in this magical land. Our regular 4-day course here is bookended by activities that will deepen both your learning process and your experience of Bali.

Barefoot Myofascial Massage Course for Bodyworkers

This course package provides 35 Continuing Education Credits for US students upon completion of both the in-person + online curriculum (NCBTMB #1431).

Course Requirements & prerequisites:

  • Must have at least 1 year of manual therapy experience.

  • Must meet your state/country's massage licensure requirements (if applicable).

  • Must have current liability/malpractice insurance in the state/country where you practice (if applicable).

Location

 

Our classroom shala is located in one of our favorite areas in Bali. It is amongst the streams and rice fields of Ubud and has many beautiful homestay options and eateries within walking distance from the classroom. It is near Warung Ting Ting (see map at left).

The local airport is Denpasar (DPS), a 1.5 hour drive by taxi. We are happy to provide travel recommendations for all of the above. For visa information, click here.

  • Feb 6th: Afternoon orientation and Balinese water blessing (Melukat ceremony) led by @Yatratours. See info at bottom.

  • Feb 7-10: Sarga 101 class from 10am to 5:30pm.

  • Feb 11th: Waterfall hike led by @Yatratours. See info at bottom.

  • Feb 12th: Optional 1-day mountain retreat led by @Yatratours. See info at bottom.

COST:

  • Before Dec 1: $895 USD

  • After DEC 1: $995 USD

Includes:

  • Sarga 101 tuition: 4 days / 24 hours of in-person instruction.

  • Vegetarian lunch on class days.

  • Activities on Feb 6th and Feb 11th (see below).

  • Lodging.

  • Seated & standing posterior & anterior myofascial massage techniques using your bare feet.

  • 90-min, full body routine.

  • Practitioners who wish to obtain Sarga Bodywork certification.

  • Practitioners who prefer an in-person learning environment verses an online format.

Water ceremony
(Melukat)

We begin our journey with Melukat, a ritual cleansing of the body, mind and spirit practiced in the unique tradition of Balinese Hinduism. Melukat is conducted by a priest at a temple site and involve offerings accompanied by mantras and immersion in water.

Waterfall Hike
in Wana Giri

Get ready for an amazing day with the waterfalls of Wana Giri. This journey is undertaken on foot in areas that are off the beaten path, to discover natural and unsoiled spots and hidden waterfalls.

February 12

Mountain Retreat
(Optional)

This optional mountain retreat begins where we left off yesterday with a night’s rest in Wana Giri. Prepare for a full day that includes a visit to the local market, natural hot springs, and cycling through the lush hills and rice paddies.
